Responding to two questions:
(1) What's good about studying in Texas?
I chose to study in Texas because of the following reasons: lower cost of tuition for UTA compared to other colleges and state universities, the presence of exceptionally high quality of education - facilities and faculty, favorable weather - though I understand that summers are too hot, and the presence of a high number of international students, which I believe enable the university to be aware of the needs of international students in joining the university.
(2) What can potential international students expect when
they come to Texas?
Living off-campus is very inconvenient, especially without a car. Computer literacy is essential as well as good map reading skills, i.e., to find directions. People are very time conscious. Ask questions...ask questions. People are very friendly and willing to assist international students.
