Directions: 1. You will hear a paragraph read three times at varying rates of speech. On a piece of paper, write each word that you hear. It's helpful to leave blank spaces for words you don't hear clearly on the first and second readings, and to skip lines in between each sentence that you write. 2. After you have listened to the paragraph three times, check your work by comparing your writing to the transcript of the paragraph. List any words or sounds that you're having difficulty with and practice these.
